The
Holland Christian Home is deeply committed to providing
spiritual care for our residents. We offer this care in a myriad
of ways. Devotions and prayer are offered at each of our communal
meals, one to one visits happen on a regular basis and special
visits are made whenever a need arises. In addition, there are
services every Sunday and a mid-week service every month where
local pastors are invited to share God’s Word. One of the
highlights of the month is the Ladies Auxiliary Meeting where
not only a pastor is invited to preach but the ladies of the church
are invited to participate in the meeting and bring refreshments.
The time of fellowship and food is always enjoyed! Lastly, just
in case residents would like to look deeper into scripture in
a smaller group setting, Bible Studies are offered twice a month
in both the Mountain View Nursing Unit and Resident areas of the
Home.
A Resident Spiritual Director is on-site seven days a week. However,
the spiritual program does not start or end here. From the Board
of Directors to residents and staff, God’s love is shared.
Whether it is through a housekeeper cleaning a room or a nurse
dispensing medications, we want our residents to remember that
God loves them and that they are still a child of the King, no
matter what their age.
